Chicken or the Egg

We've been working on music related things still. Working in larger groups of people is actually kind of nice. It actually makes things not as weird one-on-one.

The latest document I have write is about music's relationship with culture/how people live/act. This is an interesting argument and a difficult one to explain in my opinion because there are a lot of variables that are dependent on one another that could prove that culture influences music, or music influences culture.

But with that being said, I really believe it's the culture that drives the music, but the music can affect the culture which in turns also changes the music again. It seems like chicken or the egg. But in times before manmade - recorded music, there was still the culture of raggedy primitive humans and their leopard skin clothes, tarzan hair styles, rock/stick tools, etc. So I believe one day a Fred Flintstone  figure was pissed off at Barney, decided to smash a bunch of his stuff and boom we created music. The different sounds of the crashing of supplies were then "manually manipulated" into sounds/music. I think that's pretty creative...
