Week 1


My first week at Parkland has been pretty cool. English isn't so bad. I like it more than my English class I had at Harper. Most of the dudes in the class are pretty weird imo. Probably because I'm not from "theuhhh couuuntry" or whatever. Not that I have anything against that. I just find it amazing how I'm from 150 miles North and I'm in the same state and it's as if I'm in the south. However, the teacher of my English class is a pretty dope Professor. I can tell I'll do well in this class because I know I can make this fun and just achieve what she wants from the class. There's a bit of a workload. And I'm a procrastinator, but she is pretty forgiving which is a plus for me but I don't want to abuse it either because she doesn't deserve that.

    Thank you! Nice to have you in class. "Theuhhh couuntry" folks need to be challenged by diversity, so in a way you will be helping them.

    I need to be challeged too. It's a much more "conservative" social environment here than chicago.
